These Birkenstock sandals are rather wonderful. One of the great things about this shoe is that, instead of the tradtional hard footbed, they have a soft footbed. This means they take less time to break in than the general Birkenstock. Even with the soft footbed I still wore mine for only an hour or so at first. This is because it takes my foot a while to become acustomed to the supportive arch the sandal has. The breaking in period is kind of a bummer, but they are worth the wait. I know that my feet will be well supported all summer, so I don't feel bad wearing sandals. I appreciate the quality I can expect from Birkenstock. Even though the shoes are more expensive then flip flops, they are unquestionably worth the money. I know that the shoes will last for a long time, and that my feet will be well supported. They go with everything, which is a plus as most girls know, and they are all I wear during the summer.
